Il DART-MX8M-PLUS gira su un processore da 1.8 GHz Quad Cortex™-A53 NXP i.MX 8M dotato di un co-processore in da 800 MHz Cortex™-M7 real-time. Questo è il primo processore i.MX in grado di fornire capacità dedicate di Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) grazie a una Neural Processing Unit (NPU) e un sistema di visione intelligente basato su un Image Signal Processor (ISP) e interfacce per fotocamera.
Oltre alle sue capacità integrate AI/ML, il System on Module / Computer on Module offre funzioni multimediali avanzate che includono video encode e decode engine H.265 HD, un'avanzata accelerazione grafica 2D/3D, display HDMI, LVDS, MIPI-DSI, dual GbE, 2 x USB 3, PCie, 2 x CANF-FD e ingressi per fotocamera.
Il DART-MX8M-PLUS appartiene alla famiglia di prodotti DART Pin2pin, la quale fornisce un ampio range di scalabilità; dalla piattaforma i.MX8M Mini, attraverso i.MX8M, iMX8M Plus, i.MX93 fino a i.MX95.
